Sony NWZA829K Price Comparison

Sony NWZA829K Video Walkman Review

Not wanting to keep you hanging about or struggling to find the summary of this review I can tell you up front that this is one outstanding player. Sony are beating the hell out of the competition where it matters and have produced a range of Portable Video Walkmans that deliver simply awesome sound quality. Of Sony have the edge in this area, they have been manufacturing walkman's for over 30 years so they know what they are doing, but listening to my music collection through the supplied EX082 Earphones was quite an experience. The soundstage is solid and the built in bluetooth is simply brilliant and it allows you to easily pair the NWZA828K with other devices or stream audio from a bluetooth PC.

The NWZA829K not only sounds fantastic it looks slick. Sporting a 2.4-inch screen with a 320x240 display which produces a bright, sharp image with vivid colours and decent blacks, the screen is slightly larger than its predecessor and the whole thing is encased in a lovely brushed aluminium case which is both slim and light.

One important point you will need to look out for is that the 16GB NWZA829K does NOT come with bundled bluetooth headphone, unlike the 4GB and 8GB models, however it will pair with bluetooth speakers and other bluetooth headphones on the market.

The NWZA829K syncs your MP3 collection quickly and easily through WMP, but there is no on-the-fly editing of playlists on the player itself - these have to be set up in Windows Media Player and synced to the device.

Don't let these little niggles put you buying this outstanding player though. As previously mentioned the sound quality is simply awesome and its definitely one of the best MP3 players I have owned in recent memory.
